What Do We Do With This Girl?

What do we do with this girl?

Where in the world does she fit?

There’s not enough room to contain her

In these boxes we made

She is deceptively small in stature

But her heart and mind grow larger

She may seem cold and distant

But she can love better than you know

She has no interest in the 9 to 5

Or the white picket fence

She may one day have children of her own

For now her offspring is her song

Many labels she has carried

Some given, some spoken harshly

But she knows who she is

She is more than a soppy poet

  1. Great things grow out in the open, not in boxes 🙂
