Welcome to my humble blog. For about the last 6 months I have thought about starting a blog about my experiences living with mild aspergers but also as a creative person. I know from meeting many different creative types that feelings of isolation and being misunderstood are common. I’m well aware that I am not the only one who deals with being ‘different’ or ‘having problems’. In fact it seems that these days everyone has something wrong with them. We have a label for everything. Yet there is still such a push to be normal – whatever that is.
I guess the aim of this blog is to show some insight into what its like to be one of the odd ones but more importantly I want to give hope to those who feel isolated and misunderstood. Hope for those who struggle to connect with the world around them. I also want to be a help to parents of kids with aspergers. I have been blessed to have had great people enter my life and help me to connect without pretending to be someone I’m not. I’m still learning everyday. I would like to take you on that journey with me.
I will also post lyrics and poetry that I’ve written. I find that art can be a wonderful therapy.
